Apologies for not bringing you the results from today’s pre-sale show in the British Blues at Chelford sooner.  Unfortunately we suffered a technical glitch with our ringside spy this afternoon and to top that, as Chrissie said earlier in a comment, I’ve been caught out by ewes lambing a week early!

Anyway, here’s the important news, championship honours went to Kevin Watret with his bull Solwayview Fandango, a Dartagnan son out of Broomfield Vivian, a Baron daughter. He has a carcass yield index of +5 and is full brother to 7000gns bull Solway View Extreme.

Reserve overall champion was the day’s female champion Bedgebury Futie from Andrew Price. This Bluegrass Cyclone daughter is out of Ridge Dean Auntie, a Dafydd daughter. She’s a March 2010-born heifer.

And taking the championship in the commercial section was Frank Page’s April 2011-born Limousin cross British Blue heifer, with the reserve honours here going to H Harvey and Son’s British Blue x British Blue cross steer, a March-2011 born Tamhorn Crackerjack son.

For all the day’s pedigree class results see below

As with the championship results we’re sorry we didn’t get these to you earlier today, however, now better late than never here are the full pedigree class results from this afternoon’s judging. Come back tomorrow for up to date sales news as it happens.
