Here’s a run down of other breed champions from earlier in the judging, apologies, it’s been a bit hectic here with the Holsteins dominating proceedings and then running straight in to the overall grand championship.

Jersey champion Whispering Springs Iatola Sally

Taking the Jersey championship and sealing a fantastic day for the Wilson family was the senior cow Whispering Springs Iatola Sally, a January 2008-born daughter of SC Gold Dust Paramount Iatola out of Whispering Springs Counciller Sally bred by Matt Fisher.

Standing reserve to her was the first prize two year old Enchanted Iatola Ariel from the Wilson and Timberel partnership. this one is a Paramount Iatola daughter out of Enchanted Just wait Ariel.

Dairy Shorthorn championship presentation

Leading the way in the Dairy Shorthorn classes was the senior cow Churchroyd Heather 24 from Messrs Collins and Partners. By Jerom, this December 2002-born cow is out of Churchroyd Heather 17. Reserve to her was Messrs G G Baynes and Son with Strickley Geri 15, a Drisgol Watzon daughter out of Strickley Geri 3rd.

Taking the reserve championship in the Red and White classes to the day’s overall reserve grand champion was Wynford Roseman Rebecca Red, an August 2009-born daughter of Sterndale roseman Red from Wilfred Maddocks Red.
