As with the Holstein classes, judging in the Couloured Breeds ring has kicked in to gear again with Messrs A and S Lawrei taking the lead in the two year old Ayrshire heifer class with Cuthill Towers Zola 12, a Des Prairies Potter daughter out of Cuthill Towers Zola, while second place went to Dave Berresford and Son with Heydale Bron’s Potter Elaine, a Des Prairies Potter daughter. Third in this class went to Marleycote Sea lily 14 from Messrs G G Baynes and Son.
Winning the three year old class was the January 2009-born Haylyle Urr Ladybird 404 from messrs Davidson and Sons. This one is a Howies Stelth daughter. second to her was another of similar breeding from the same home, this time Halmyre Urr Kava 29.
In the senior cow class, Dave Berresford stop top of the line with Heydale Winsome 109, a Kellcrest Ice Man daughter, while second went to Stevenson’s Sally 66th, a Stevenson’s Saltire daughter from Messrs M W and A Stevenson.
