Judging has finished in the Roscommon for the Simmental Premier Show and Sale with Brian Allan of the Glenturk herd tapping out Fearna Commander (lot 22) from Mark Neenan, Co Mayo, as the overall champion.
Born January 2011, this one is a son of Glebefarm Tyson and is out of the Raceview King daughter Fearna Vienaa, a National Show winner.
Taking the reserve championship was Garrett and Lyndsey Behan, Co Laois, with their February 2011-born Banwy T-Rex son Jennalyn Cavilier Rose. This one is a son of the popular sire Omorga Volvo and is out of the ET-bred Rosten Barney daughter Jannalyn Rosie who is a daughter of Hillcrest Gretta, a full sister to Hillcrest Champion. He has a five star suckler beef value of 116.
