Taking the overall male championship today at Bristol for the Simmental Society Sale was Crackley Bobby Dazzler (lot 6) from Messrs Booth and Bell. By the imported polled sire Lamhoj Supery, he is out of the Langmose Triton daughter Grangewood Cadette 98S and sold for 5000gns.
The reserve championship was awarded to the Leedham family with Grangewood Bono (lot 9), a son of the successful Northern Irish bred sire Omorga Volvo, out of the Grangewood Knockout daughter Grangewood Joy 2nd. He later sold for 4000gns.
In the females, the championship went to Jimmy McMillan with one from his own herd, Brandane Bella (lot 27). By Sterling Viking 2nd, she is out of the Corskie Principal daughter Sterling Novas Tiffany and carries a TI of +71, a SRI of +74 and a milk figure of +9. She went under the hammer at 3400gns.
The Leedham family were back on winning form again securing the reserve female championship with Grangewood Amelia (lot 20), a daughter of Dirnanean Salvador out of the Grangewood Knockout daughter Grangewood Ruby. This one carries a TI of +80 and sold for 3250gns.
