Topping the Abderdeen-Angus sale at Dungannong today was the pre-sale show champion, Drumhill Quinlan K316 from Jonathan and Lisa Doyle at 4800gns. This Southland Full Throttle15R son is out of Argwen Queen 26G, a Cudlobe 28 ’95 daughter and has an SRI of +35.
Second op of the day was a 4000gns bid for the first bull in the ring, Glenhoy Top Tiger K285. This one stood third to Quinlan K316 in the show and is from Avril Robinson. He is a son of HF Tiger 5T and is out of DMM Top Lass 18P.
The day’s female champion Railview Primrose B403 from Marcus and Norman Rutledge, Co Tyrone, sold at 2200gns. This is a Priestown Jupiter daughter out of Railview Primrose B403, a Maine Dragon daughter.
Trade has, we’re told, been very selective with buyers in cautious mood and several bulls going unsold, of the 18 forward just eight found new homes to average £2618 (Dungannon Farmers Mart).
