A run of good prices has come late in the day here with a 7000gns call claiming Netherhall Gaffer. This Attirant son is out of Parkhouse Angel, a Nobel daughter. He sold to Tom Clyde, Northern Ireland.
Immediately after that another by the same sire from the same home, Netherhall Goliath went at 17,000gns. This one is out of Cloughhead Ainsi, a Saiga daughter. He was bought by Messrs Lee, Hexham
Then passing unsold at 8000gns was Haltcliffe Gains from the Ridley family. This son of Haltcliffe Dynamo is out of Haltcliffe Ainsi, a Nenuphar daughter and has a beef value of +26.
And that wraps up today’s trading which has seen 112 of the 149 bulls forward find new homes (75% clearance) to level at £6718.13, up by just over £400 on last year’s average and setting a new May sale record for the breed here at Carlisle.
