Bull trade topped at 6800gns at Thainstone today when Charlie and Keith Ogg led the prices with their Limousin Buchaam Fourstar. This Ironstone Bomber son was sold to M Davidson and Son, Crichie, Inverurie.

Top call was a 6800gns bid for Buchaam Fourstar

Next best call also came for a Limousin from the Oggs, Buchaam Ferry, a Vison son out of Buchaam Delphinium, a Rocky daughter. He found a new home with J and D Laing, Craigievar, Alford, at 5200gns.

Selling at 5000gns was the Aberdeen-Angus champion, June 2010-born Strathinver Master Brigadier K092 from Wendy Willox, Home Farm, Druminnor, Rhynie, fetched 5000gns from A & J Adams, Eastfield of Monaltrie, Ballater. This is a Strathinver Boy Maverick son out of Strathinver Bonnie Marie F035, a Fordafourie Justice Eric daughter.

Then making 4800gns was Charolais Kinclune Fraser from Jock Wilson. This Thrunton Crownprince son sold to T amd M Walker, Newton of Mountblairy, Banff

Taking a bid of 4500gns was the overall champion in the event, Grant Morrison’s April 2010-born Limousin Muldearie Franco. He is by Ronick Sidney and sold to T Riddoch, Greenloan, Glass, Huntly

The day’s Simmental champion, September 2010-born Islavale Bouncer, a Glenturk Premier son from Stewart Stronach, Berryleys Farm, Grange, Keith, then made 4200gns, when selling to Charles and Alison Webster, Kildrummy, Alford.

And taking a 4000gns bid was the Charolais champion September 2010-born Medi Fullback from Lynwyn Evans, Kinknockie, Mintlaw. This is a son of Dingle Hofmeister sold to C and E Ingram, Drums, Newburgh, Ellon. (ANM).
