Carwin Gulliver sold for €5800

A pair then sold at €5700, with the first at this money being the reserve junior champion, Michael Kinane’s Elegante Golden Eye, an April 2011-born Sympa son out of Elegante Dawn, an Ocean daughter.

The other at this price was the second prize bull from the last class of the day Carwin Gutso from Raymond Carolan. A son of 42,000gns Wilodge Vantastic, he is out of Carwin Vrac, a Roundhill Saturn daughter.

Next best at €5200 was the first bull if the day to sell, the third prize winner from the first class Moneygold Fletcher from James Melody. This is a Queenshead Altea and out of Moneygold Vernique, an Imperial daughter.

And a €5000 bid then secured another from the Carwin offering, Carwin Gubay. Also a Saturn son he is out of Carwin V Eronica, a Mas Du Clo daughter.

Following him at €4600 was third prize winning bull Moloskey Ger from Brendan Clancy. Another by Vantastic he is out of Moloskey Ursel, a Gamin daughter.

Just behind him and making €4500 was the first prize winner from the first of the junior classes, Ardlea Golan from Dan Tynan. This Vison son is out of Elite Bopeep, a Tatar daughter.

After that a €4300 was enough to claim the third bull from the last class of the day, Castleview Graham from John O’Sullivan. And Amptertane Commander son he is out of  Castleview Vicky, a Geant daughter.

Selling for €4000 was Donnelly George from Anthony Donnelly. A son of Milbrook Tanko, he is out of Donnelly Daisy, a Ronick Hawk daughter and so combines two lines of the great Broadmeadows Cannon.

A trio of bulls then traded at €3700, with the first knocked down at this figure being first prize winner Keltic Gladiator from Teleri Thomas. this Univers son is out of Cwmpedran Briony, a Bapton Javelin daughter.

Next at this price was a second prize winning senior bull was Millburn Gladiator from Richard and Eithne O’Beirn. This one, an Alfy son is out of Millburn Booby Dazzler, a Mas Du Clo daughter.

And the final €3700 call was made for Brookfield Gino from Alan Borton. Sired by the legendary Sympa, he is out of Brookfield Bethany, a Hawk daughter.

I’ve no word of an average from today, but reading the top prices against the prize list it certainly looks like the judge from this morning Ken Jones of the Garnedd herd, Wales, was right on the money with his placings. Our ringside spy reported a few sticky patches in the sale, but overall it has been a very solid trade for the bulls on offer.
