Taking the coloured ribbons home in the Hereford judging ring today was Baltymore herefords with the July 20010-born Kye Rodge 553 bred by Padraig McGrath. This one is a Shalon Rodge son out of Kye Patty 2nd.
Standing reserve champion was the female champion Upperlands 1 Grace, a polled November 2010-born heifer from Michael Lagan. By Solpoll 1 flame, she is out of Solpoll 1 Starlet.
In the Charolais rings Iain Campbell tapped out his female champion to take the top spot. The February 2010-born Cornascriebe Flo is by Thrunton Voldermort out of the homebred Cornascriebe Barbara. And taking the reserve championship was the male champion, Rumsden Fawkes from Patrick Gallagher. By Thrunton Voldermort he is out of Rumsden Avalon and was beef breeder champion at last year’s Royal Highland Show and the Royal Welsh before being sold privately.
In the Blondes Neil Brown tapped out Hillhead Estelle, an April 2009-born cow by Sauvelk out of Hillhead Alison, while the reserve overall was the male champion, Classic Friend, an October 2010-born Droit Crystal son out of Classic Vicky.
