Blackface hoggs sold to a new centre record high of £900/apiece yesterday at Stirling for a pen of five from Hugh Blackwood’s Auldhouseburn flock. These are by a £26,000 Crossflatt sire and sold to Mr Wallace, Northern Ireland. The 10 Auldhouseburn hoggs levelled at £750.

Second best was an £880 bid for a pen from Mary McCall-Smith’s Connachan flock, 50 from Connachan averaged £314. Making £620 was a pen from Iain Hunter’s Dachirla flock, with 95 from Dachirla averaging £270. At £410 was a pen from Auchloy, with these 10 averaging £277.50.

Mule Ewe Hoggs with twins lambs sold to £204 from A Barr, Easter Bucklyvie and Singles to £193 from Woodend.   Texel ewe hoggs with Twin lambs sold to £201 from Allanton and Singles to £196 from Woodend.
