Judge Donald MacPherson has just finished his commercial judging stint in the rain where he tapped out first time exhibitor Lynsey Lawrence’s Limousin cross heifer Red Hot Ruby as the overall champion.

Commenting on his champion Donald said: “She was a classy, stylish heifer with a fantastic top to her that handled well.”
Coming through as reserve overall champion was Dermot Small’s Aberdeen-Angus cross Guilty For Gucci who has previously been given the native title as well. She was bought privately from John Richardson and was shown today by Clare O’Brien and weighed 460kg today.
Taking the senior championship was Rascal from the McRea family, while reserve here was Ginge from Drumhilla Farm, while Dermot Small also took the reserve junior championship with Lady Lucy.
