Wet weather has delayed the interbreed cattle judging here at the Highland with the championships moved from the cattle lines to the main ring today.
Winning the interbreed team competition were the Limousin quartet, with the British Blue team of four following along in reserve.
The winning team consisted of Doug Mash’s senior bull and overall breed champion Hafodlas Domino, Smiths of Bloxham’s female and reserve breed champion Ironstone Dumandy and her bull calf at foot along with two heifers from Stephen Illingworth, Glenrock Fantastic and Glenrock Elusive.
The reserve group was made up of the senior bull Ballygrange Alex from Alan Jackson, David and James McKerrow’s cow Nochnary Emma, Kevin Watret’s Solway View Elegance and Solway View Euphoria.
Standing third and taking the best native group was the Aberdeen-Angus team, while fourth place went to the Simmentals and then fifth went to the Galloway team.
