The Ridley family’s Haltcliffe Limousin herd has acquired a share in the semen rights to the Quick family’s much admired young bull, Loosebeare Fantastic for an undisclosed sum. June 2010-born Fantastic is a son of 42,000gns sire Wilodge Vantastic out of the Broadmeadows Cannon daughter Loosebeare Sacha.

Carrying a beef value of +45, Fantastic is well within the top 1% of the breed and has been a stand out bull from day one, said Andrew Quick.”In my mind he’s the best Vantastic son I’ve ever seen and combines exceptional fleshing with true Limousin breed character and style.”

Commenting on the acquisition Craig Ridley said he believed Fantastic’s pedigree, exceptional muscling and correctness and strong performance figures made him a great prospect for the future.

A limited amount of semen for UK mainland use is available for sale now at £50/straw from both the Quick and Ridley families, more semen will be collected later in the year for worldwide use.
