As expected trade for Limousin females has kicked in to gear in an unbelievable way this morning in Carlisle for the production offering from the Wilodge, Lodge, Haltcliffe, Goldies and Glenrock herds.

And it’s the Wilodge herd that’s making the early headlines when Christine Williams and Paul Tippetts have sold the first lot in to the ring Wilodge Flawless, a December 2010-born daughter of Objat out of the Wilodge Vantastic-sired successful  show female Wilodge Diamante. With a beef value of +55 easily ranking her in the top 1% of the breed she was knocked down at 27,000gns to Nigel Matthews of the Pyebrook herd.

Then selling for 10,500gns was Wilodge Goldenmoment, a January 2011-born ET-bred Wilodge Cerberus daughter out of Sarkley Bellola with a beef value of +32.

The second lot in the ring from the Wilodge team was Wilodge Gracie, a January 2011-born Wilodge Cerberus heifer out of the Sympa daughter Hazelhead Annie, making this one a maternal sister to the privately sold Wilodge Fastrac. She was knocked down to Matthew Jones.

And Nigel Matthews continued to add to his herd securing Wilodge Fanelle (lot 3), a December 2010-born daughter of Glenrock Ventura out of the Jersey daughter Ravenelle, the herd’s best breeding female. This one carries a beef value of +30 and sold at 7000gns. Then came two at 8000gns a piece, both going to the Pyebrook herd again, the split embryo identical twins, Wilodge Goldust and Wilodge Goldrush. These two are January 2011-born heifers are full ET siblings to the 10,500gns Goldenmoment.
