Leading the British Blue trade at Chelford was a 3600gns call for a bull from Adam Neachell’s Cromwell herd, Cromwell Gladiator. This Bringlee Carlos son is out of Tamhorn Uptowngirl, a Baron Du Bois Bauloye daughter.

Trading at 3100gns was May 2010 born Kilworth Forman, from Andrew Fyfe.  By Gamin des 3 Frontieres, and out of the extremely well bred Bringlee Tandy, he returns to Creswell, Stoke-on-Trent with G A Hargreaves.

And selling for 3000gns was Tweeddale Fonzie from Jonathan Watson. This new Close Colonel son is out of Justeese de Fooz and sold to D G Foulkes, Denbigh.

Then trading at 2950gns was the day’s pre-sale champion, Betws Flash from Gill and Rhys Bellis. This Flash D’Izier son is out of Betws Creme, a Tamhorn Sumo daughter.

Following him at 2800gns was Chardaney Fabio from Messrs Mycock. Sired by Empire he is out of Boothlow Tina, an Opticien D’Au Chene daughter.

Next best at 2550gns was the day’s female champion Chardaney Gabrielle from the same home. Sired by Piraat Van Prokes, she is out of Boothlow Amber, an Affute daughter.

Trade in the commercial calves was strong for the best with the top price here being a£2320 bid for the commercial champion, Twinkle from J L and D A Davies. Following on at £2080 was a heifer from B L and J E Griffith.

Averages;  11 bulls  £2793, six females £1995, five crossbred steers £1302, 12 crossbred heifers £1801.82 (Marshalls).
