The first prize winning Texel ewe lamb from yesterday’s Texel classes at the Great Yorkshire Show was sold last night in an auction at the show for 6200gns.
This one, from the Kermode family, which was reserve female champion is by Tamnamoney Stallone and out of a dam by Noresk Monarch. She was bought by Roger Strawbridge and Paul O’Connor for their Tamnamoney and Drumgooland flocks respectively. Auctioneer Brian Ross from Lawrie and Symington donated his commission to the Northern Texel Club’s charity, the local Air Ambulance.
