Today’s dispersal of the Miscombe Limousin herd of Buriton Estates at Newark Livestock Market is currently topping at 9000gns for the March 2008-born Miscombe Dove (lot 19), an Oxygene daughter out of the Imperial daughter Miscombe Albatross. She sold having been served to Uplands Batman to Dai Walters.
Selling for the same figure was the April 2008-born Miscombe Downlands (lot 27), a Samy daughter out of the Uplands Batman daughter Miscombe Uplands and sells with her Brancielle-sired heifer calf at foot and having ran with Miscombe Dynamite to Ian Handley.
Two females have then sold for 7500gns a piece, the first of which was Miscombe Costly (lot 21), a Rocky daughter out of the Greensons Gigolo daughter Miscombe Priceless. This one was knocked down to previous buyer Dai Walters having been PD’d in calf to Uplands Batman. The next at that price was Miscombe Dora (lot 25), a Neuf daughter out of Miscombe Una, who is by Highlander. This May 2008-born female sells with her April 2012-born bull calf at foot by Bial and having ran with Miscombe Dynamite to John Sharratt.
At 6800gns was Miscombe Albatross (lot 28), another Imperial daughter out of the Jockey daughter Miscombe Starling. Again sold with a Bial-sired bull calf at foot, she sold having ran with Loosebeare Bomberto Messrs P S Jones, while at 5600gns Miscombe Vera (lot 35) has just been knocked down. This one is homebred on both sides and is by Miscombe Solomon out of the Greensons Gigolo daughter Miscombe Patricia and sold with an Anecdote-sired bull calf at foot.
Just shy of that at 5500gns was a previous lot Miscombe Button (lot 11), an April 2006-born cow AI’d to Tehix. By Rocky, she is ou of the Gogolo daughter Miscombe Po9lly who is a daughter of Ronick holly, a Cannon daughter.
