Esmor Evans clinched the Charolais championship earlier today under judge Keith Millar with the June 2011-born Maerdy Grenadier. This one is homebred on both sides and is by Maerdy dynamite out of Maerdy Damson.

Standing reserve to him was the female champion, Trefaldwyn Fancygirl, an ET-bred May 2010-born heifer from Arwel Owen. She is by Dingle Hofmeister out of Trefaldwyn Ruby.

In the Simmental rings, Roger Birch tapped out the winner of the senior bull class, the February 2008-born Wroxhall Wallace from Dan Evans and family. This polled bull is by Vingegaard Texas and is out of Wroxhall Nice-Moira. Describing his champion Roger said: “This bull was very hard to fault and was every inch my champion on the day.”

Standing reserve was the female champion and winner of the cow and calf class, Ben-Nant Vera from the Raymond family. By Corksie Norman, she is out of Ben-Nant Jenna.
