Stuart Wood has proved he has the midas touch in the Beltex, selling his pen of shearlings to a top of 7000gns.

His pen topper was his third in, Howcommon Romeo (lot 1189), a Heatheryhall Poker Face son out of a dam by Newton cracker. Buying this was Paul Slater.

Following him was a 5800gns call form Drumchapel Replay (1188), a Wonderboy son out of a Cooskstown Hamish dam, Pentland Kylie. This was knocked down to Messrs Wilkinson for the Langlands flock.

And Stuart’s first in the ring Woodies Rookie, a Ryder Pavarotti son out of a Frits daughter then sold at 2300gns.

Trading at 2000gns was the Boss an imported shearling out of a ewe from the Groetenhof flock. And just shy of that at 1900gns was Woodies Rock Hard. This Eskdale Lionheart son is out of a dam by Forager.

Away from the Woodies pen the pre-sale reserve male champion from Gavin shanks, Inveresk Right Wing was passed unsold at 2500gns.
