Today’s opening NEMSA sale of Mule ewe lambs at Hexham has seen a top call of £180 for a pen from Crowhall Farms, with the overall average settling at £116/head, a rise of £4 on last year.

This is the fourth year in a row that the average has risen at Hexham and it looks like the lamb buyers haven’t been put off by the tighter trade for gimmers so far this season.
