Taking the top call of 550gns at today’s Hampshire Down sale at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, was a shearling ewe from Graham and Judith Galbraith. Sired by Kelsey Gigolo this gimmer is out of a dam by Wattisfield What Next and sold in-lamb to Graylen D’Artagnan. She was bought by Alan McCornick, Newton Stewart.
Next best of 500gns was shared by two females, the first being the female champion from the Jones family’s Meas Glas flock. Sired by Maes Glas Tyson’s Punch she is out of a dam by Pode Hole Oscar and had been running with Maes Glas Commander. She found a new home with Jonathan Phillips, Blaydonburn.
The other at this money was another from the Galbraiths. This was another by Kelsey Gigolo and out of a dam by Kelsey Duval. Having run with Graylen D’Artagnan she was taken by J M Smith New Cumnock.
Best of the rams was a 400gns bid for shearling ram from the Maes Glas flock. Sired by Ardbrack Chancer he is out of a dam by Maes Glas Triple H and sold to Messrs Murdoch, Tarbolton.
