Trade was somewhat difficult in Carlisle today for Aberdeen-Angus bulls with Alasdair Houston taking the top price of 4000gns for Gretnahouse Blackgame L506.

Born April 2011, this one is by the Massie family’s stock bull Blelack Kanasta Lad G191 and is out of the Netherallan Peter Pershore E052 daughter Blelack Blackbird H949 and carried a milk figure of +14, a TSI of +36 and a SRI of +45.

Next best was Jeremy Price who took 3000gns for his March 2011 bull Oakchurch Fabregas L030. This ET-bred bull is by Netherallan Peter Pershore E052 and is out of the Dalrene Cruz 11F daughter Southfield Fortuna.

The dispersal of Edward Penty’s Catriona’s herd saw a top price of 3600gns for the first one in the ring, Catrionas Eve D129, a December 2004-born ET daughter by Hoff Limited Edition. She is out of the GMAR HI Spade 039 daughter SAV Emblynette 9511 and has a milk figure of +12 and a SRI of +45.
