Leading the ways in the British Blue classes in Carlisle today under judge Nigel Pritchard to take the male and overall championship was Danny and Jane Wyllie’s March 2011-born ET-bred Tamhorn Goliath.

This one is by the herd’s successful sire Ballygrange Alex and is out of the Tamhorn Sumo daughter Tamhorn Buttercup and carries a carcass yield index of +19.

Reserve male and reserve overall honours went to the Raine family with Bluegrass Famous, a November 2010-born ET-bred son of Heros Du Peroy. He is out of the Bringlee Waldo daughter Bluegrass Centrefold.

The female championship went to Adrian Williams with the June 2011-born Mountjoy Utopia daughter Willnat Gina. This one is an ET-bred daughter out of the Twyning Ash daughter Lukeroyal Bimbo.

Reserve here went to the Birch family of Pasturefields Livestock with the April 2010-born Bringlee Fawn. This one has had a tremendous year on the summer show circuit and is by Bringlee Blackstar out of the Biscuit D’Embise daughter Raspoutine ET 5401 De Haute Somme.
