More news is reaching us from today’s Blackface sale at Hexham, with Philip Walton and sons, Chris and Dan, Wanwoodhill, taking two bids of £6500 for shearlings both of which headed to High Staward.
The first was a son of an Auldhouseburn sire, while the second was by a Hotbank tup.
Robert Raine, Townfoot, followed that by selling at £5000. This was a son of a £2400 Sewingfields, which sold to Tofthouse and Yatesfield.
At £3000 from the same home was a son of a £3400 Yatesfield which was taken by Edgegreen, while at £2800 was another from Townfoot, this time to Hareshaw.
And taking £4800 were the Walton family, Wanwoodhill, when they sold a son of an Upper Chatto to Carrick. A £3000 call in the same pen secured a son of Big Horn for Clennel.
Making £3400 was a shearling from Carrick when selling to Townshields, with one from D and D Hall, The Dunns, trading at £2800 to Sewingfields.
James Herdman, Edlingham Newtown, then took £2000 for a son of £2800 Totfhouse, with this heading to Rookhope.
