The Stirling Limousin offering seems to be quite light on the ground with one or two of the more interesting pedigrees being early on.
First up is one from the Ridley family, Haltcliffe Fiddler. By Haltcliffe Braveheart and out of Haltcliffe Caprice, this one carries influential sires such as Cloughhead Lord, Penyrheol Sam and Sympa in its pedigree.
Then it’s the McLaren family that might have an interesting one in the form of McLarens Black Glenogil. This red coated Hudscales Darren son is out of a Hafodlas Abram daughter and carries a beef value of +36. He was reserve junior male at the Highland as well as reserve or breed champion at various local shows in Scotland.
Then Dougie and Linda Graham’s Bunbank Gigolo is next up. By the highperformance sire Rainbow Simon, this one is out of the Ronick Hawk daughter Burnbank Undone who goes back to the successful Ronick Gains. With this strong pedigree, a muscle figure of +5.4 and a beef value of +50, this one might well be one to look at.
Iain Nimmo’s Maraiscote Gringo might then be worth a look. This one is by the 23,000gns Goldies Comet and is by a homebred Tyddyn Mei daughter which goes back to Cannon on the sire side.
The first of the intermediate picks is one from the Dick family in the form of Ronick Gordon, a son of the 11,000gns Sarkley Cromwell, he is out of the Valmy daughter Ronick Davina who goes back to the herd’s superior dam Ronick Janita.
Dyke Gambler is next on the list from the MacGregor family. By Cloughhead Delboy, he is out of Dyke Davina, who is a Cloughhead Lord daughter and goes back to Ronick Eretta. This one has a muscle figure of +5.5 and a beef value of +41.
Whinfellpark Gentrifield is then next on the list. By Cereberus, he is out of a Mas Du Clo French daughter Topaze so should have some size about him. He’s also got a muscle figure of +6.8 and a beef value of +43.
Stephanie Dick has had a fair run of success in Stirling and her Ronick Iceman ET-bred son Stephick Goldeneye might also be in the money. This one is out of a Bailea Olympia daughter Ronick Voici who herself is a Janita daughter.
