Starting the run of Charolais females with a call of 4200gns is the female champion Vexour Flirt (lot 827) from Jan Boomaars. By Blelack Crusader, he is out of the Maerdy Super daughter Vexour beth and carries a positive calving ease figure as well as a TSI of +55 and a SRI of +51.This one sold to Angus breeder Bob Lane of the Shropshire-based Penguin herd.
Next up at 2900gns was Newhouse Gin from the Adam family (lot 828). This one is a Balmyle Churchill daughter out of the Mowbraypark Torpedo daughter Newhouse Breeze.
The best from Andrew Hornall’s draft offering is Falleninch Exceptional (lot 837). By Falleninch Bigboy, this June 2009-born female is out of a Major daughter and sold for 2500gns to the Loganbar herd.
The best from the Caithness herd draft so far is Caithness Fiona (lot 841) selling for 3000gns to Messrs Walker. This one is a Fairway Aircontrol daughter out of a brampton Embark dam. Their next one Caithness Flora (lot 842) followed at 2800gns for a Thrunton Voldermort daughter.
Then wrapping up proceedings here in Stirling is Anne Macpherson with Blackford Debbie (lot 854), a Burradon Talisman daughter with her Newhouse Bigal sired bull calf at foot. This one went at 8500gns to Nether Balfour Farms, Aberdeenshire.
