A joint breeders production sale of Dexter cattle at Worcester saw a top price of 1620gns for Too Loos Sweet William a two and a half year old bull from Messrs Gardner and Digweed.  He had been shown successfully taking two reserve championships, he traced back to Beechwood Perrywinkle that bred the 8800gns Knightsway Paddy.  The successful purchaser was R Williams, Henley in Arden, Warks.

Other bulls closely followed selling to 1080gns for Holberrow Red Rex from George Godber’s Holberrow herd.  This one is out of Holberrow Laurel who had won four interbreed championships and was knocked down to W R Lea, Coleshill, Warks.

The Holberrow herd had a successful day securing the top price in the female section with a cow Carich Jasmine, with her polled bull calf at foot selling at 1100gns to T A Barnett, Walford, Hereford.  A homebred served heifer, Holberrow Lana levelled at 1020gns in calf to the red sire Stidcot Blakey to G J Hamlett, Street, Bath, Somerset.

The unserved heifer section was also topped by a polled Holberrow heifer also out of Holberrow Laurel taken by R T Berry, Inkberrow, Worcester, at 600gns.
