Charollais Females met with a keen trade at Dungannon Market with enthusiastic bidding resulting in a virtual clearance and a top price of 1900gns for an in lamb shearling ewe from the Tullyear flock of Drew and Stephen Cowan. This one is sired by Arjane Kukri and and out of a Logie Durno Finnegan dam and sold to County Wexford-based Aidan Murphy. Two other Arjane Kukri daughters from the same pen sold for 1000gns.
The Artnagullion flock of William McAllister sold to a top of 1000gns, while the Rockvilla flock of David and Liz Mawhinney sold their best to Peter McLaughlin, County Cavan. This ewe is sired by Honddu Investigator and is out of a Rockvilla Golden Promise daughter and traded at 800gns.
In the ewe lamb section it was Jonathan Aiken’s Carnew flock that attracted the top bid for his Logie Durno Jackpot daughter selling for 1000gns to County Fermanagh-based Neal Martin. George and Jason Booth’s best from their pen was knocked down at 750gns for a Tullyear Krackerjack daughter selling to the Rockvilla flock of David and Liz Mawhinney. Also selling for 750gns was a Gogwell King of Trumps daughter presented by the Craig Brothers which sold to previous buyer Aidan Murphy,Wexford.
