The foundations of the site are the knowledge, experience and reputation of its founders, Chrissie Lawrence, Catherine MacGregor and Jonathan Long. All are well known in livestock farming and have a strong background in livestock journalism and photography and have previously worked for national titles in both retained and freelance roles.

  • Chrissie Lawrence

    Chrissie is a freelance agricultural journalist and PR professional specialising in working with pedigree and commercial livestock farmers to market their stock and enhance their reputations.

    Chrissie works closely with breeders to ensure their stock are promoted to their best advantage and is closely affiliated to a leading beef breed society. She also has a successful track record of delivering high quality online livestock sales coverage which has resulted in high volume traffic.

    Prior to her journalism career, Chrissie has worked with pedigree and commercial beef cattle and now enjoys showing pedigree sheep.

  • Catherine MacGregor

    Catherine is a freelance agricultural photographer, who works under her business name, MacGregor Photography. She was brought up on her family farm, Allanfauld, in central Scotland and has always been involved with breeding and showing pedigree livestock.

    Specialising in livestock photography and advertising, Catherine works for pedigree farmers throughout the UK, as well as numerous breed societies and rural businesses. Her work features in a number of books and agricultural publications.

    Catherine is well known across the UK for the quality of her work and is highly respected in the beef and sheep industry for her dedication to marketing quality pedigree livestock.

  • Jonathan Long

    Jonathan is an award winning freelance agricultural journalist and PR professional who works closely with a number of clients in the agricultural and retailing sector to provide targeted PR campaigns.

    Jonathan also works closely with a number of livestock breeders in promoting their stock and has a track record of delivering high quality livestock sales coverage in a successful online format resulting in high volume traffic. Having been involved in livestock breeding all his life Jonathan is a well known and respected in the industry and has regularly been called on to commentate on industry issues by international media.
